Initially inspired by the diversity of acts showcased at each Radical Mycology Convergence’s talent show, the first volume of the Mixtape grew to become a gentle snapshot of the world of mycology just before the big fungi boom. Through 29 tracks of music, field recordings, and poems, the Mixtape offers a misty, meandering foray through this world – one that spirals in the undergrowth and lifts past the canopy.
With its first volume released in 2017 as a limited edition cassette and digital album, the Mixtape is now reimagined as a MYC RAD initiative.
